This Cross

Verse 1:
Before there's a cross, a choice must be made
Will I take it up or turn away?
If I would follow Christ, self I must deny
For to walk as my Jesus walked then daily I must die

Chorus:
This cross is an instrument of suffering and pain
Where the flesh is crucified
But this bitter cup will one day be made sweet
And my Savior will be glorified

Verse 2:
Before me there's a cross, a choice must be made
Must I drink from this cup? Is there any other way?
Nevertheless, Your will be done
If this cross must be carried Father, I'll be the one
